Mt. Washington Auto Road Ride

Friday, July
25th
come
ride at
Jericho Park
in
Berlin. All day riding, no set times at this point.
1) Follow Interstate
93 North, past Franconia Notch; take Exit #35, into Twin Mountain.
2) At the traffic light in Twin Mountain, go straight until you see a
yellow blinking light.
3) Take a right at the blinking light (Rt. 115) and follow to
intersection of US Rt. 2 & 115.
4) Follow Rt. 2 East into Gorham and the Intersection of Rt. 2 & Rt.
16N.
5) At the set of lights, take a left onto Rt. 16 N and follow up to a
set of lights right after Irving
Mainway. Go straight thru the set of lights.
6) Stay to the right as the road splits by the Park (it is a one way
street). You will get to another split in the
street. Stay on the left and stop at traffic light with Dunkin Donut on
your left.
7) With Dunkin Donuts on your left, note 2 gas stations, last chance for
gas and supplies.
8) Go straight thru the traffic light, under the railroad overpass, the
Police Station is on your left and there
is a blinking yellow light. This is now Green street. At the blinking
yellow light, the road splits and you
stay on the right.
9) Once you make the corner, take 2nd left onto Mannering St. and go to
the next intersection, 3rd Ave.
You will notice that 3rd Ave. is a very wide street. Take a right unto
3rd Ave. From this intersection to
the Jericho Mountain State Park entrance is 3.3 miles. Follow 110 West.
You will pass the Public Works
Garage on your right. Soon, You will see a sign “Jericho Motorsports”.
You can park there (ask inside)
and a trail into Jericho Park is directly across the street or you can
continue on about another ½ mile to
the main entrance road. The entrance sign is on your left.
10) Take a left unto the road and the Main parking lot is 1.3 miles from
the entrance and the trail entrance
is at approx. 11 O’clock at the far end of the parking lot. CAUTION: The
upper part of the road is
actually part of the ATV Trail and machines may be in the road. PLEASE
USE CAUTION.
Saturday,
July
26th
Ride at
Millsfield Pond
trails in
Errol 9am.
Travel North of Berlin on Route 16. Cross Errol town line and take
your first left on Millsfield Pond Rd. Parking is 5 miles west on Dirt
Rd. Enjoy 120 miles of Road and trails including a Poker run. ATV,
Razors, and Rangers welcome. There will be food and drink available
after noon.
Sunday, July
27th Ride
up the
Mt. Washington Auto
Road.
$ 22.00 for
N.H. ATV
members, $25.00
for
non-members and
an
additional $ 7
per
passenger on
a manufactured
2-up. Mt. Washington
Ride
requires
a ticket,
no
one will
be
allowed up
without
a
ticket, that
can be
obtained at
the base
of the
mountain / parking lot
between
9am and
1pm anyone
that shows
up after
1:30 pm even
if you
have a
ticket will
NOT be
allowed up
the mountain
( no exceptions)
anyone that
pays in
advance and
for whatever
reason does
not get
to go
up the
mountain and
will
not get
a refund.
There will
be Hamburger /
Hotdogs available
at the
bottom when
you come
down
donated by Rochester Sports Center.
NH ATV
Shirts, hats,
will
also be
available for
sale at
that time
as well.
We’ve also
made up
shirts this
year with
ATV emblem
on the
front and
on the
back “ I climbed Mt.
Washington on my ATV” with
an ATV on it with
mountain background
or “My ATV
climbed Mt.
Washington” .
For the time being we
are allowing side by side machines. That would
include the razor, Yamaha rhino, Kawasaki Mule, etc. The operator of
the side by sides, should just pay attention to taking stops on the way
down if they feel they are using the breaks a lot. And no we are not
allowing dirt bikes.
NOTE::
Please remember
anyone riding
up Mt. Washington
MUST be
a VALID
Licensed
driver and
have it
on their
possession at
the time
of the
ride. Kids
that have
taken the
NH Fish
and Game
Safety Class
do NOT qualify as
a licensed
driver they
must be
16 with
a valid
drivers license.
ALL ATV’s
must be
registered in
the state
of New
Hampshire. NO double riding is allowed
unless you
have a
Manufactured two
up. Anyone
caught riding
off trails,
tearing up
trails, racing, doing donuts, not
following rules,
etc. Risk losing their membership
with the New Hampshire ATV
Club.
