NHATV was formed in February 1998. We started with 20 members and are now proud of our 2600 and growing each month membership. We hope to be known as a club striving to protect our lands while improving our riding areas. This will take a lot of attention from our club. We are working with the State officials and land owners to accomplish this feat. We hope to work together in our mission to make our sport more enjoyable. Safety is always being considered in planning our trips.
The main functions of this club are as follows:
- To develop and maintain new trail systems.
- Monitor and respond to any all-terrain vehicle legislation.
- Conduct safety courses.
- Improve our image of ATV riders.
- Educate fellow members.
- Fund raising events for charities.
- Club events.
- Protecting the land and future of the ATVs.
Since 1998 we have held several safety courses, charity functions such as "Toys for Tots"; clean-up at Chester Turnpike; help state maintain trail system at Clough State Park; help the Southern N.H. Snowslickers Club with their trail system; working on eight different areas of trail system. We are also attending town meetings.
We need members to volunteer to help the club. Just a few hours a month can really make a difference. Tasks such as running raffles, trail maintenance, looking up lot numbers to gain access for ATV use are just a few examples. Any help is always welcome. We would also like to promote some family events during the year. People of all ages enjoy riding and getting the family involved would be fun.
We are glad that you decided to join our club. We look forward to seeing you at some future events. If you have any questions or are interested in becoming more active please notify one of our Board Members, just E-mail us, or attend one of our meetings.
